If you’re using Benefit to keep your brows fresh, most likely you have this!
The brand recalled Gimme Brow gel, which involves all the tubes purchased since the month of January. Luckily, it’s a voluntary recall – WTF does that mean?
It means if you haven’t had any issues already, you’re most likely safe.
“Benefit Cosmetics is committed to the highest levels of quality and doing what’s right for our customers,” reads a statement. “Out of an abundance of caution, we have initiated a voluntary recall of our Gimme Brow product after discovering that certain batches of the product did not meet our stringent quality standards.”
“Gimme Brow doesn’t involve any risk when applied in its normal use on brows,” it goes on. “If it were to come into contact with eyes, it could cause irritation.”
Sadly if you’re almost out of a tube, you won’t be stocking up any time soon. The brand has pulled all gels off the market until further notice.
What should you do if you feel you need to recall? Take it back to the original retailer for a refund, or contact the brand for more guidance.
